Special Fashion Week: The Fashionable Finger Puppets
Those super cute but stylish finger puppets, created by fashion journalist Jenny Dyson and representing five cult figures from fashion capitals London, Paris, Milan and New York, are fast becoming collector’s items for in the know fashionistas: fun and chic.
The Paris set: John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, Sonia Rykiel, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Alber Elbaz“It started as a joke, during last year’s Fashion Week, but it created such a buzz that we decided to make them”, explains Fashion journalist extraordinaire Jenny Dyson about her decision to launch the Fashionable Finger Puppets, which represent favourite designers such as Paul Smith, Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace, Ralph Lauren or Jean-Paul Gaultier.
The Finger puppets, which come in limited editions of 100 boxes for each of the four sets (Paris, Milan, London, New York), were produced in collaboration with knitwear designer Jessica Pemberton and hand knitted in Peru. Each set is housed in its own interactive, screen printed box, which works as a runaway-like mini puppets theatre. read more
