News Flash! Jimmy Choo brings affordable glamour to H&M

Don’t forget to put the 14th of November in your diary: on that day, British luxury brand Jimmy Choo will launch a collection of accessories and clothes to 200 selected H&M stores across the world, bringing glamour to the high street at affordable prices. It will be the first time that H&M, whose previous collaborations with designers include Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, Viktor & Rolf and Matthew Williamson, is teaming up with an accessories brand.

Why?

  • Because Jimmy Choo, founded by Tamara Mellon in 1996, has become one of the coveted accessories brand in the world, with clients including Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker and Michelle Obama, who wore its white “Dale” satin sandals to the presidential Inauguration Ball.

  • Because Tamara Mellon, the President of Jimmy Choo, has promised to “bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection”, with prices ranging from £14.99 (for jewellery) to £179.99 (for the knee leather boots), offering a much more affordable option than for the normal Jimmy Choo collections.

  • Because in order to celebrate this collaboration, Jimmy Choo will extend its design for H&M to women’s clothing to complement the accessories -a premiere for the brand- and will also include a men’s collection of shoes, bags and accessories. And at last because it will surely become collectable very soon : so even if you are more Christian Louboutin than Jimmy Choo, you might want to get a few and sell them on eBay!
