Kate Moss for Longchamp: a very chic Franco-English collaboration

Britain’s most stylish top model, who has been the “face” of French leather brand Longchamp for four years, has just taken their collaboration one step further by launching a collection of bags inspired from her rock’n roll, jetsetting, yummy mummy lifestyle: a perfect mix of French classicism and British excentricity.

She has fronted the world’s most glamorous fashion brands, launched a successful clothes collection for Topshop, and even survived a scandal or two, and now, the inimitable Moss has also set to conquer the world of accessories, launching her own collection of bags for French luxury leather house Longchamp. “It is a family business, it’s been going for more than 60 years, and I love the whole feeling of it”, says Kate Moss about the French brand, known for its flawless craftsmanship and rather classical style.

Inspired by Kate Moss’ favourite haunts, the four Rock ‘n’ Casual designs (Ladbroke, Golborne, Glastonbury and Gloucester) reflect the glamorous model’s everyday style: practical but fashionable, relaxed and apparently careless, but with the detail that makes the difference. The bags are declined in red, black, nude, grey and zebra, her favoured animal print, which runs like a leitmotiv throughout her collection, inside and out. In brief, a great combination of French chic and British rock’n roll attitude.
